Strides for Africa has been working with Action for Ngono Basin Reforestation as our local partner since 2021. To date, our work has helped bring clean water sources to 2 locations benefitting an estimated 2,739+ people. Communities drive these projects and have been supported by labor from community members and students.
Kyenshama Primary School
2022-2023: Rainwater Collection and Storage and Latrine Project
Co-funded with Feeding Mouths Filling Minds, this was our second project in Tanzania and endured a challenging rainy season that made the transport of materials to the region very difficult.
Murungu Primary School
2021-2022: Rainwater Collection and Storage and Latrine Project
Co-funded with Feeding Mouths Filling Minds, this was our first project in Tanzania. The new latrine provided much improved privacy for female students.
Ruranda Primary School
2023-2024: Rainwater Collection and Storage and Latrine Project
Co-funded with Feeding Mouths Filling Minds, and implemented by Act-NGONO.
